Le Retour de la pêche. Eau-forte. 219 x 308. Portalis et Beraldi 2 ; Baudicour 2 ; Regency to Empire 30. Très belle épreuve du 1er état (sur 2), avant les tailles additionnelles ou trait échappé (notamment au-dessus de l’homme perché dans l’arbre et entre le pont et l’eau). Pli de séchage horizontal médian perceptible au verso. Larges rousseurs claires. Petite inscription à la plume grattée en pied au verso. Marges étroites. Très rare. « Only two etchings […] can be securely attributed to his hand. […] Stylistically, the etchings can be related to a number of pen-and-ink sketches characterized by broad, vigorous hatching and an extreme economy of line, likewise derived from Rosa. » (R.
