STATE OF CONSERVATION
The posters that we propose have no substantial lack in the image and therefore no important restoration.
We describe them as :
- Very good condition
- Good condition
- Fairly good condition
The lower you go in this scale, the more important are the defects we indicate:
- Creases, which do not affect the image, are marked or worse broken.
- Tears, frank in most cases. For posters on paper, we indicate the size.
- Small gaps or defects in the margins.
- Freckles, stains and soiling.
- The "old linings" were made at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.
Finally, these posters have not been bleached. This is a process that consists of washing the poster excessively at the canvas to give the paper a whiteness
the paper a whiteness that it did not have originally, while softening the colors.
Our posters have original colors, often exceptional.
