SAUERWEIDThe Saxon army in 1810. S.l., n.d., in-4, half green morocco binding, back with nerves, golden head. (Lemardeley ). With 30 plates engraved in aquatint and enhanced with colors mounted on tabs. Extremely rare copy engraved in 1828 after the original copy published in 1810 by Heinrich Rittner kept at the Kupferstichtkabinet in Dresden. It is almost never found a complete original copy. Not cited in Lipperheide, Colas, Glasser, but mentioned in an article by Ch. de Partz in "La Figurine" of the first quarter of 1973. Attached is a typed note and a handwritten letter from Baron Baeyens explaining this copy from Partz's article. A few scattered freckles. Provenance: Prince of Moscowa and Baron Baeyens, with ex-libris vignette engraved by Lucien Rousselot.
