Marbled calf and basane, spine ribbed and decorated, red edges (contemporary binding). Complete collection of this periodical publication of the Royal Society of Medicine. The latter was born of the will of three men: Turgot, Jean-François de Lassonne, Queen Marie-Antoinette's physician, and Félix Vicq d'Azyr, an anatomist physician and member of the Academy of Sciences. One of its duties was to publish the observations and submissions it had collected and approved. The collection consists of 10 volumes published between 1779 and 1798. With the exception of the last one, each volume is composed of two parts with separate pagination. There is a total of 1 frontispiece, 158 tables, 56 plates and 1 map. Epiderminations, wear rubbing, torn caps, some worm work. Very good interior condition despite sometimes a few minor freckles. Attached : - Memoirs of the Royal Academy of Surgery. Paris: P. Al.
