GONZAGUE FRICK (Louis de) - BROUET (Auguste). The Calamist Alizé. S.l., s.d. - In-folio, 323 x 249: (1 f.), 13 plates, silent cover. Sheets , full cover. Very rare edition of this collection of poems by Louis de Gonzague Frick, entirely engraved and illustrated by Auguste Brouet. The text reproduces the handwriting of the author. Brouet composed 11 etchings, one of which is full-page and surrounded by remarks forming a real historical setting. This edition is not cited by Dutel, who lists 2 editions in-8 and one in-4. On the first page, it bears this handwritten justification: "This unpublished manuscript by Louis de Gonzague Frick, decorated and engraved by Auguste Brouet, has been printed in fifty numbered copies ". This is actually a third print, certainly the rarest of the three, published after 1940 on Rives vellum paper. This copy bears the number 9, a perfectly preserved copy .
