18K (750) gold and silver chain decorated with two main motifs, each forming a polychrome enamelled rosette centred on an old-cut diamond and edged with rose-cut diamonds, the lower motif recalling a watch, the composition highlighted with rose-cut diamonds. French work from the last quarter of the 19th century.

The enamels worn on the castelaine that we present are to be compared with those made by Charles Riffault, a famous enameller who worked for Boucheron in the years 1870-1880. His style was characterized by the use of radiating motifs from a centre, in red, green and blue colours.
