SAXOFERRATO BARTOLUS. Lectura Bartoli de Saxoferrato super secunda parte Codicis. Venice: Vindelin of Speyer, 1471. - In-folio, 430 x 285: (213 ff. sur 214, mq the first white); round letters, two col. of 50 lines. Red half-cornered spine with corners, spine with nerves (early 20th century binding). Pellechet, 1902. - Hain, 2541. second part only, of the two publications, of this commentary or reading of the Justinian Code by the specialist of Roman law and founder of the School of Postglossateurs Bartolus of Saxoferrato (1314?-1357 ). The origin of these notes, written by a monk of the abbey of St. Magna Grammar in Regensburg, Germany, is known, as indicated by the three lines written at the beginning of the first page: "Ad sanctu(m) Magnu(m) Regensburg // p(er)tinet liber iste lector bone // omnibus est scitu(m) ne contogat raptum", meaning: "Good reader, this book belongs to St. Magna Grammar in Regensburg. May it be known to all so that it is not stolen". In addition to these indications, there are also some annotations from the period in the text. The first white page is missing, which was replaced at the time of binding by another page o
