Fawn calf on wooden ais, different cold-set decoration on each plate, consisting of straight and oblique fillets forming compartments decorated with irons with flower, two-headed eagle, lion and palmette motifs, four brass cabochons, marks of an ancient umbilicus, remnants of chased brass clasps, spine with ornamented ribs, smooth edges (contemporary binding). BMC, II, p. 612. - Hain, 10172. first edition of this collection, which includes the 114 sermons of Canon de Passau, Doctor of Theology and Canon Law Michael Lochmaier (14...-15...), and the 23 of the theologian, Canon of Passau Cathedral Paul Wann (1420-1489), the latter being scattered throughout the work . Beautiful print in Gothic characters, made by Johannes Petri in the German city of Passau. Fewer than 30 works are known to have come out of his presses between 1485 and 1493. PRECIOUS AND RARE EXAMPLES IN HIS FIRST GERMAN BINDING, with cabochons and cold decoration composed of different irons sown on the plates . It is complete including the last white sheet that was glued to the lining of the second dish. Some leaves are rubbed in red and there are some handwritten notes of the period. On the rr6 verso page there is a lettering in ink accompanied by two drawings representing a flower and a heart. On the back of folio qqq8 there is a note accompanied by a drawing of four faces in profile. Restored spine, with leather added to the first carcase. The tops are missing, but the second plate has been restored, especially the upper clasp. A few wormholes without gravity, missing at the corners. Missing the two umbilicals and the clasps.
