LISZT Franz (1811-1886). L.A.S. " F. Liszt",... - Lot 1142 - Ader
LISZT Franz (1811-1886). L.A.S. " F. Liszt", Rome 18 November 1864, to a publisher or music dealer; 3 1/2 pages on blue paper; in German. On his works. He asks again that a parcel containing music, scores and books be sent to Rome as soon as possible; he adds new orders and commissions. The manuscript of his Concertstück (in E minor) for 2 pianos, which Bendel and Pflughaupt played very well in Carlsruhe, is to be handed over to the publisher Härtel to be engraved soon. Several of his vocal compositions are about to be translated into French, so he asks that Ad. Giacomelli, editor of the Presse théâtrale in Paris, a package containing the following scores: the Three Psalms (drei Psalmen), the Beatitudes (Seeligkeiten), the Lieder Loreley and Mignon, the choruses for Prometheus, all edited by Kahnt; plus the manuscript score accompanied by the piano reduction of the Joan of Arc scene which he had sent last spring; and a bound copy of Neumann's biography of F. Liszt. A copy of the scores of his 1st Mass (for male voices) and of the Hail Mary (both published by Härtel) should be attached . He points out that the orchestral scores of the Symphonic Poems (Symphonischen Dichtungen) "Preludes, Funeral Heroid, Mazeppa" and of the Dante Sinfonie will be published by Härtel at Easter in autographed editions . He learned from Hans von Bülow that Schuberth has taken the risk of publishing
