Two turquoise-glazed ceramic bowls, Seljuq Iran, 12th-13th centuryIn siliceous ceramic covered with turquoise glaze, the first with radiating decoration painted in black under the glaze, each ray decorated with vegetal scrolls on the wall and a fish on the bottom, some bunches of leaves on the outer wall, the second with flat lip and calligraphic decoration called "black silhouettes" champleted in a black slip under the glaze. Each bearing a collector's label under the base, n° 7 and 8. Diameter: 20.2 cm; height: 8.5 cm; broken and glued back together, small missing parts. A small bowl with black silhouette pseudo-calligraphic decoration, Iran, 19th century, in the Seljuk style, diameter : 11.3 cm ; height : 7 cm. Collector's label "n°3" under the base. Diameter: 18.7 cm; height: 8.3 cm; broken and reattached, strong iridescence interfering with the legibility of the decoration. Provenance : Former Hagop Kevorkian collection (1872-1962) .
