Succeeding his father, Alphonse Frantzevitch Felten (1849 - ?) was one of the biggest dealers and especially an expert in paintings and prints in Saint Petersburg. He had a passion for prints and rare books. He had agents abroad and followed international auctions. His portrait was rightly engraved by V. A. Bobrov.
