LOUIS MAJORELLE (1859-1926) & DAUM NANCY Branch of magnolia in flower and bud, the model designed around [1902-04] and presented at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, Paris, 1904 Very rare and important salon lamp in the naturalist style. The foot, evoking a branch and buds, in gilt bronze. The flower and the flower bud are made of aniseed green tinted glass, slightly opalescent, blown and modelled. Art nouveau period. Alterations and oxidations to the gilding. Height : 61 cm Exhibition: Majorelle : un art de vivre moderne - Exhibition organized by the City of Nancy and the Musée de l'École de Nancy at the Galeries Poirel, from May 2nd to August 30th 2009.
