He has just received his rights for the performance of The Firebird, but is astonished at the strange amount of money, because outside of ballet performances, everything else is missing ("outside of ballet performances, everything else is missing"). He has conducted the Suite many times in its new version (never in the old one) and therefore his fees should be higher: "I have myself played the Firebird Suite many times (I never play the old version) and therefore some revenue must have accrued from there". He therefore asks to check the accounts, adding that he also directed last year for TV .
