Correspondence of 8 letters to his mother, Duchess Blanche de Maillé (1787-1851, First Lady of Honour of the Duchess of Berry, woman of letters and memorialist); Alexandria, Cairo and [Kénèh, Upper Egypt], October-December 1843; 84 pages in-4 and in-8 (purification slits). Long and fascinating correspondence on her journey to Egypt, from Alexandria to Cairo and then on the Nile to Upper Egypt. It relates at length his impressions, describes the monuments and the country, his reception by Pasha Mehemet Ali, the conditions of the journey, his studies on the country and its antiquities, and gives his analyses.
