Bradel half burgundy morocco with corners, gilt fillets, smooth spine decorated, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved (Boichot). Edition printed at 1520 copies, illustrated with 15 colour compositions engraved by André Collot, including one on the cover, one in the frontispiece and 13 on three-quarter pages, at the head of each chapter. Precious copy, one of the 1400 on Lana vellum (n° 1099), enriched with this letter from the author on the false title : to Jacques Crépineau // my friendship // Jean Giono // Dec. 65It also includes, mounted on tabs : - 4 beautiful L.A.S. It also includes, mounted on tabs: - 4 beautiful L.A.S. from the author addressed to Jacques Crépineau, 4 pages in-8, all dated 1966, - the programme of the play Le Voyage en calèche by Giono, performed at the Vieux-Colombier theatre in 1947, - an autograph manuscript signed by Giono, half a page in-4, on the play La Calèche, reproduced in particular in the programme of the Célestins theatre of 1966 , - the menu for the meal given on March 21, 1966 at the Drouant restaurant on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of La Calèche, dedicated by Giono to Jacques Crépineau and also including the signatures of the costume designer Pierre Clayette, the director Jean-Pierre Grenier, Aline Giono, daughter of the author, Claude Brasseur, etc. A fine copy.
