IRIBE (Paul) - BARBIER (George) - LEPAPE (Georges). The Fan and the Fur at Paquin. Paris, 1911. - Album in-folio, 483 x 345 : (8 ff. 2 first, 5th and 2 last blank), 7 plates. Publisher's illustrated boards. Brilliant advertising publication for the Paquin company. It includes a coloured composition by Paul IRIBE on the cover, two black vignettes by Georges LEPAPE, on the justification sheet and on the title, and 7 superb stencil coloured plates, including a bouquet of flowers by Georges Lepape, printed on japanese paper, 3 fans by Paul Iribe and George BARBIER, and 3 models of furs signed with the initials CR. Each plate is protected by a serpente, those for the fans are captioned. The uncaptioned serpente of the sixth plate is missing. The edition was limited to 300 copies on Arches laid paper, this one is not numbered. A very well preserved copy despite some stains and marginal wear to the cardboard. Attached a second copy, incomplete of the printing's completion sheet. The binding is soiled and torn on the back. Several serpents have tears and the last two plates are unbound.
