"For its winter collection 1911-1912, Revillon presents a series of plates inserted in a drawing board which is decorated with engraved, grey and orange patterns. This series is composed of photographs and plates drawn by René Lelong. The photographs show actresses from Parisian theatres, wearing the new creations. Revillon often used them for the catalogue presentation of his collections. The drawings in beautiful, delicate colors depict the rich and idle class, Revillon's clientele. For leisure, sport, show, tea at five o'clock, Revillon shows the variety of times of the day when an elegant woman of the world can wear a fur" (Golden Pages of the Advertising Edition, p. 84).
