[ADVERTISING - FURS] - REVILLON. [Revillon frères catalogue]. Paris, London, New-York : Revillon frères, [1929]. - Leaflet, folio, 400 x 252 : (2 ff.), 6 plates, illustrated cover. One of the most luxurious and beautiful advertising booklets of the Revillon house, presenting models of women's coats for 1929. printed by Draeger, it includes 6 large plates by the Peruvian artist Reynaldo LUZA (1893-1978), printed in black and gold for four of them and in black and silver for the other two, the six being applied on beautiful wove paper . "By entrusting the illustration of the models created in 1929 to Reynaldo Luza, Revillon can boast of being at the height of the art of its time [...]. [...] One can only admire the very decorative play of lines and coloured surfaces which are almost systematically opposed to each other but which nevertheless unify the model and the decoration to the point of almost merging them". (Pages d'or de l'édition publicitaire, p. 90). Copy enriched with 4 other large and superb plates of fur models by Reynaldo de Luza, for the Revillon house. These are 4 of the 6 plates that appeared in the 1930 catalogue. These models are represented in white and silver for the coat, in gold for the body, and in colors for the jewels, the whole on an entirely black background. The original marbled ivory cover is missing; it has been replaced later by a black paper cover, on which the original motif representing an interlacing of minks has been glued. The plates are in a perfect state of preservation.
