RIP - AGHION (Max). Dans le Tas. Paris : A. Tolmer, [1911]. - Album in-4, 318 x 241 : (2 ff.), 28 plates, blank cover. In sheets, two cardboard boards covered with an orange wood plate, title and authors printed in white on the first board, large green cloth tie holding both boards, publisher's slipcase. Rare and amusing album prefaced by Pierre Wolff, offering 28 plates of portrait-loads of personalities of the literary and artistic world of the 10s, drawn by the artist RIP, pseudonym of Georges-Gabriel Thonon (1884-1941) and Max Aghion. We find Colette and Willy, Georges Feydeau, Mistinguett, Polaire, Edmond Rostand, Tristan Bernard, etc. Two of the plates are on double page. Copy enriched with 3 original drawings signed by RIP. The first one represents a portrait-charge in colours of the actor Jacques Sereys (born in 1928), member of the Comédie-Française, which the latter offered to Jacques Crépineau ("For you Jacques! All my affectionate and old friendship. Jacques"). The second is a pencil sketch of a little girl (stamped "Mistinguett sale 20 June 1994 Maître Binoche" on the reverse), and the third is a colour portrait-charge of the music-hall singer and actor Max Dearly (1874-1943). Some wear to the slipcase and to the edges of the boards.
