France, Normandy (Caen), 1752 [10] unnumbered ff. + 162 pp. + 31 pp. followed by 6 blank ff., writing in brown ink, title in red and brown, initials painted in red, paper justified in red ink, headings in red, text sometimes arranged in two columns . Bound in red morocco, spine with five raised bands, gilt framing on the covers with gilt fillets and a jagged frieze with four stars at the corners, roulette on the edges, gilt edges, combed marbled paper endpapers. Size : 94 x 154 mm. Supplement to the breviary with the Proper of the saints. The Proper of the Saints is followed by the Common of the Holy Canons Regular. This manuscript was copied by an Augustinian canon regular in Caen in 1752: it must have depended either on the Crusaders of Caen (Canons Regular of the Holy Cross), or on the Hôtel-Dieu of Caen (The Hôtel-Dieu of Caen was a conventual hospital priory managed by five canons regular of the Order of Saint Augustine under the responsibility of a prior).
