Twenty-eight of these plates make up the collection first published in 1907 under the title Die Bonbonnière. Galante und artige Sammlung erotischer Phantasien illustrating a poem by Amédée de la Houlette, and two are from other series, one of which is from the album Erzählungen am Toilettentische, here in 30th position. Copy comprising the plates alone on laid paper. Each engraving has a serpente. This edition is almost identical to the second edition published around 1917 on satin vellum paper, of which a copy is described in the second Nordmann sale of December 2006 under number 65 . Dull corners. Soiling to some plates. Tears to some serpents.
