Very rare first edition of this work by the German-speaking poetess Dusza Czara-Rosenkranz (1899-1971), illustrated with 9 original woodcuts by the Polish painter Eugeniusz STEC, husband of the author. The edition was only 120 numbered copies on japon, signed by the poetess and the artist at the justification. In place of her signature, Dusza Czara-Rosenkranz bore a pencil dedication dated "Bukarest 1937". Spine faded. Slight spotting and soiling to the title.
