The title subject in patinated bronze. The base, complete with its stopper and with curvilinear motifs in relief, in copper red enamelled stoneware showing the beige edges thus underlined. A few tiny chips restored. The subject in bronze signed A. CHARPENTIER and bearing the monogram L. M. M. (for La Maison Moderne), the base signed and dated M. DUFRÈNE 1899 and bearing the monogram L. M. M. (for La Maison Moderne), Height: 12 cm - Length: 26,5 cm - Width: 13 cmNote: The design of our inkwell is part of the composition of the famous commercial lithographic poster created by Manuel Orazi (1860-1934) for La Maison Moderne around 1901-02.
