Alain BANCQUART (born 1934). Two autograph music manuscripts, Animal, mal, 1977; [1]-10 sheets, and 14 sheets (pag. [1]-11 + 5', 9 bis and 9 ter) 35 x 27 cm. Melody for voice and instrumental ensemble on a poem by Charles Cros: "Un immense désespoir noir"..., "pour un hommage à Charles Cros". The title page indicates: " This work was written at the instigation of Lucien Adès, for the centenary of the invention of the phonograph: April 17, 1977 ". The voice is marked "haute contre - à défaut contralto". The instrumental line-up includes: flute, trumpet, violin, vibraphone and marimba, and harp. The work lasts about 9 minutes. The two manuscripts are carefully noted in Indian ink on tracing paper with 20 lines for the first one, the second one, marked "score - material (transposed)", on tracing paper with 12 to 16 lines. An annotated partial print is attached.
