Sèvres The Emperor Napoleon III, the Empress Eugenie and the Imperial Prince. A pair of "Urbino" cups from the Manufacture de Sèvres, commissioned by the House of the Emperor for the donations and relief service. In white porcelain decorated with gold. Gilded fillets. Feet with golden ring and edges of the tray decorated with gold friezes of arabesques. On the upper trays are painted in round medallions, profiles in the manner of antique cameos, of the Emperor Napoleon III laureate, for one of the cups, and of the Empress Eugenie and the Prince Imperial for the other. The edges of the medallions are decorated with a pearl frieze and laurel leaves topped by the imperial crown. Hollow marks of the Manufacture de sèvres. Green stamp "S67" and red stamp on the N under the crown "decore a sevres 68" Second Empire (circa 1867-1868) H: 14 cm, D of the tray: 21 cm Hair and foot glued back for the cup with the profiles of the Empress and the Imperial Prince. The model of the cup is by Jules Constant Peyre. The medallions and the decoration were painted by Joseph Richard, painter and ornamental gilder at the Manufacture de Sèvres.
