Jean-François Janinet (1752-1814) Marie-Sophie-Frédérique of Hesse-Cassel, wife of Frederick VI, Queen of Denmark. About 1789. Tool engraving after C. Höyer. Diameter of the subject : 75 ; copper 120 x 150. Portalis and Beraldi 143 ; I.F.F. 59. Color print. A very fine proof, trimmed laterally on the plate cut, with narrow margins at the head and foot. The original, a miniature by the painter Cornelius Höyer, is in the Royal Danish Collection at Rosenborg Castle. It was made around 1789, when the painter was in Paris.
