)L'Amour prie Vénus de lui rendre ses armes. 1768. Engraving in pencil after Boucher. 410 x 360. Herold 17; P. Jean-Richard 346. Printed in colors. A very nice proof on strong ivory laid paper, from the final state, printed on two plates (black and red), with the address of the rue Saint-Jacques. Light trace of oxidation at the opening of an old mat. Small moisture halos and a thin reddish band in the lower margin to the right. A few spots of rust. Nice margins. Ex-coll. print room of the Grand Ducal Museum, Schwerin (Lugt 2273).
