A porcelain bowl of decagonal form with Kakiemon decoration of horses, Japan, 19th centuryA scalloped and flared rim, the exterior decorated with four horses among chrysanthemums and herbs, the interior with coiled hoho and bouquets of chrysanthemums. The rim is decorated in blue enamel over glaze, iron red and gold with tasselled embraces, two precious objects: books and a genepi leaf, and two stylised Buddhist objects: the parasol and the canopy. This bowl is a remake of a 17th century model. Height: 9 cmBroken and glued edge .
