APOLLINAIRE (Guillaume). Set of 4 books by Apollinaire or about Apollinaire that belonged to Marie Laurencin (1883-1956), with her autograph signature on the titles. Apollinaire and she met in 1907 and had an affair until 1912. Their break-up inspired the poet to write one of his most beautiful poems, "Le Pont Mirabeau": - IL Y A . Preface by Ramon Gomez de La Serna. Paris: Albert Messein, 1925. - In-8, green half parchment, smooth spine, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved (period binding). Posthumous first edition published by Jean Royère in the collection "La Phalange", gathering poems written between 1895 and 1918 to which are added various writings on painting, 5 painters (Henri Matisse, Picasso, Le Douanier Rousseau, Pablo Picasso and Van Dongen) and 3 writers who are Jean Royère, Paul Fort and Alfred Jarry. The first poem entitled "Minuit" is set in a schoolboy drawing by the author. Preface by Ramon Gomez de La Serna "who prides himself on considering himself a Spanish Apollinaire", translated by Jean Cassou. Copy on edition paper. Spine partly bleached. - THE MURDERED POET.
