Corrected proofs of this short story set during the Commune, first published in 1905, comprising 68 leaves, some of which bear the label of the general printing house Lahure. Several of these sheets include handwritten corrections, obviously in the hand of Jérôme Tharaud. Binding soiled. Leaves browned and sometimes brittle on the edges.
