Selling expenses and payment:
The successful bidder will have to pay, in addition to the amount of the bid, per lot, the following fees and taxes:
- 28 % including VAT (20 % VAT) except for wine and books 25 % including VAT (5.5 % VAT on books).
- 1.8 % incl. VAT (20 % VAT) of the hammer price for auctions via Drouot Live; 3.60 % incl. VAT (20 % VAT) of the hammer price for auctions via Interenchères; 3 % incl. VAT (20 % VAT) of the hammer price for auctions via Invaluable.
- An additional 5.5% temporary import tax charge for lots marked with an asterisk(*).
In certain cases, these charges may be refunded to the buyer.
Payment must be made immediately after the sale:
- in cash (euros) up to €1,000 for French nationals or up to €15,000 for foreign nationals (upon presentation of proof of address, tax notice, etc.; in addition to passport).
- by credit card (Visa, Mastercard).
- by "3D Secure" payment on the website www.ader-paris.fr
- by bank transfer in euros to ADER.

Purchase orders :
A bidder unable to attend the sale must complete the purchase order form included in this catalog and sign it.
ADER will act on behalf of the bidder, according to the instructions contained in the purchase order form, in an attempt to purchase the lot(s) at the lowest possible price and in no case exceeding the maximum amount indicated by the bidder.
The said form must be sent to and received at the auction house no later than 24 hours before the start of the sale.
The purchase orders or telephone bids are a facility for the clients. ADER is not responsible for failure to execute an order by mistake or for any other cause. Please check after sending that your purchase order has been properly registered.
ADER reserves the right not to register the purchase order if it is not complete or if it considers that the customer does not provide all the guarantees for the security of the transactions; without possible recourse.
To guarantee the buyer's goodwill, a deposit may be requested before the sale, which will only be validated in the event of an auction.
As Drouot Live and Interenchères are independent services, we decline all responsibility in case of malfunction. The additional cost related to internet purchases is detailed on each of the sites and in our terms of sale.
Transportation of lots / Exportation :
The present sale is carried out by appointment.
As soon as the auction is over, the buyer is fully responsible for the purchase.
No lot will be handed over to the buyer before full payment has been made.
Lots are to be collected as soon as possible from their place of storage.
Buyers concerned by an export will be able to reclaim the VAT on the purchase fees on condition that a valid customs receipt is submitted to ADER and that the name of the auction house is mentioned on it as the exporter. The auction slip is due in full; the VAT is refundable afterwards on presentation of the bank account references.
The shipping of the purchased lots can be organized by ADER at the expense and under the responsibility of the buyer.
This is a service provided by ADER which reserves the right to renounce it if the legal or practical conditions present the slightest risk. Delivery times are not guaranteed and are dependent on the activity of the Sales House.
The cost of packing and shipping is at the buyer's expense; payment is to be made to ADER.
The buyers are invited to organize themselves the transport of their purchases if these conditions do not suit them.
