Knight's Decoration and Diploma of the Order of the Medjidie (founded 1268 H/1851), Ottoman Empire, 1904- Silver, gold and enamel star medal to the Order of the Medjidie of 5th class (knight), with diamond points and center marked with the tughra of Sultan Abdülhamid I (r. 1839-61) surrounded by the motto of the Order. Crescent and star of suspension. D. 5.8 cm, B.P.: 29 g, without ribbon; - The diploma calligraphed on paper with four lines of osmanli in diwani calligraphy, three in black ink, the first in gold as well as the tughra of Abdülhamid II (r. 1876-1909) and some illuminations. Dated Jumada al-Awwal 1322 H/July 1904 and accompanied by its envelope decorated with the medal of the Order of Medjidie. 57 x 37,5 cm, torn envelope.
