Gilt belt, Ottoman Empire, 19th centuryNine bands of braided gilt with scalloped buckle with the Ottoman coat of arms, four keyhole-shaped perforations, and poly-lobed end with honeycomb decoration. Several hallmarks, tughra, probably that of Mahmoud II (r.1808-1839) on the buckle, and sah on the perforations.
