Pair of glass vases with gilt decoration, Iran qâjâr, 19th centuryLarge colorless glass vases with long tubular faceted necks and pear-shaped bodies on circular bases with cut sides. Gilded painted decoration on the whole, the body presenting a neoclassical frieze mixing plant garlands, vases and cartridges with floral decoration on one, of a putto and an inscription in Persian on the other. Framed by a bird and an arm rising from a cloud, the inscription gives the name of the patron "Layeq Majles 'Alijah Muhammad Khan (...)". At the bottom of each vase, a round plant bump in white and turquoise glass. Height : 43 cmInterior decoration missing on one of the vases. A pair of glass vases, Qajar Iran, 19th century
