Two panels of three tiles forming an epigraphic cartouche, Morocco, probably 14th centuryIn slipware decorated with brown and white glazes, a poly-lobed cartouche decorated with palmettes and furnished with an inscription in cursive Arabic on a background of fine scrolls. Wooden frame carved with a vegetal decoration and decorated with an openwork metal ring. Dim. at sight : 9,5 x 25,5 cm Some chips and retouches. A tile from the Metropolitan Museum of New York (17.44.2) attributed to Merinid Morocco is very close stylistically and technically to ours.
