Publication made on the occasion of the exhibition in homage to Apollinaire, organized by Gaston Diehl at the René Breteau gallery in Paris from December 22, 1943 to January 31, 1944. The work brings together a series of texts, memories and tributes, mostly unpublished, from personalities, writers and artists, most of whom were close to Apollinaire: René Lacôte, Roch Grey (Hélène Oettingen), André Billy, Louis de Gonzague Frick, Pierre Mac Orlan, Max Jacob, Vincent Muselli, Pierre Varenne, Marie Laurencin, Albert Gleizes, Pierre Roy, Jacques Villon, etc. The edition includes 3 out-of-text reproductions of works by Juan Gris, Pablo Picasso and Gruber, as well as 5 full-page woodcuts by Roger Toulouse, Pierre Roy, Le Moal, Manessier and A. Moisset. Printed on rag paper. Copy complete with the two catalog sheets and enriched with the invitation to the vernissage, printed on rag paper. A perfectly preserved copy.
