First bilingual edition of Misfortunes of the immortals, printed in an edition of 610 copies, illustrated with 25 full-page black reproductions of drawings-collages by Max Ernst, including 3 new ones compared to the original 1922 edition. EXAMPLE OF THE BELGIAN SURREALIST POET THÉODORE KŒNIG (1922-1997), with his autograph signature on the first white endpaper, dated "Boston June 1950 . Slight wear to the covers, otherwise a very well preserved copy. The board is green, with a reproduction of one of the book's illustrations on the first cover.
