Léon BLOY. Corrected proofs, Histoires désobligeantes... - Lot 118 - Ader
Léon BLOY. Corrected proofs, Histoires désobligeantes (Paris, E. Dentu, 1894). In-8 of 370 pages, half red basane, fillets (period binding; damaged cover). Precious copy in first proofs, with numerous autograph corrections and additions. Composed at the Imprimerie G. Morand in Orléans from July 24 to August 24, 1894, these proofs were carefully revised by Léon Bloy, who notably added a dedication at the head of each story. A long note next to the table explains that he decided to add the story La plus belle Trouvaille de Marchenoir (he will replace Marchenoir's name with Cain's) in the second to last position... Former Daniel Sickles collection (XV, n° 6185).
