PARIS 1809 - 1819 Complete vermeil travel set in its red leather case engraved with small irons and provided with its key, the interior in green velvet. It is composed of eleven pieces as described: a covered broth and its plate, a saltcellar, an eggcup, a cup and its saucer, a cutlery, a small spoon and two knives with steel blade and the other blade in vermeil, the handles in mother-of-pearl decorated with a monogrammed shield. The set is decorated with appliques or engravings of heads alternating with flowers framed with palms. The handles of the covered cup are decorated with loves bearing a garland. The mobile lid ends with a butterfly. The base of the saltcellar and eggcup is rectangular and stands on four claw feet. Goldsmith for the whole : Jean-Baptiste-Claude ODIOT, received in 1785, inscription in 1798. For the cutlery and the small spoon goldsmith Benoit LORILLON, received in 1788, inscription in 1798, for the two knives goldsmith : François Charles GAVET, inscription 1798.
