Half garnet morocco with dark blue morocco strips, boards decorated with a thin strip of blue matte paper and two wide strips of red paper, one matte the other glossy, smooth spine, red glossy paper lining, blue matte paper endpaper, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved, slipcase (P. L. Martin, 1974). Rare first edition, printed at only 180 numbered copies on Arches wove paper, illustrated with sixteen original lithographs, including one on the title and fifteen full-page, by the painter and engraver Jean-Louis BOUSSINGAULT (1883-1943). One of the fifty copies reserved for the members of the Society "Les Amis de l'Amour de l'Art". A very nice copy bound by Pierre-Lucien Martin in 1974, copies of this title in signed binding are very rare .
