Long khyber or salawar yatagan dagger, probably Uzbekistan, 19th century Strong straight single-edged blade in damascus steel, the flat back with a long ridge ending in a finial giving rise to a frieze of scrolls of palmettes continued on the tang of the horn handle. Metal guard with molded, chased and gilded vegetal decoration underlined by a frieze of turquoise cabochons. A scabbard made of a wooden core plated with silver leaves molded with scrolls of palmettes, the border highlighted with a geometric frieze of turquoise cabochons separated by metal nets. Length : 53 and 42 cm Wear and tear, traces of rust on the blade of the dagger.
