Large dish ch'qâlâ with Ottoman decoration, Tunisia, Nabeul, De Verclos workshop, 1920-50 Large hollow dish on circular pedestal earthenware with painted decoration in the center of a large rosette framed by palmettes, a frieze of roundels housing rosettes on the cavet, the marli streaked with brown drips. The outer wall decorated under the lip, a band of colored braces or decorated with a point. Inscribed in Arabic "De Verclos, Qallal al-Qadim, Nabeul" on the outer wall and "De Verclos, Nabeul" under the foot. Height: 14,5 cm; diameter: 47,5 cm Big chip on the edge and chips on the foot, three holes of suspension.
