High vases which can form pair, Tunisia, Nabeul, De Verclos, 1920-50
High vases with truncated conical body resting on a convex pedestal and surmounted by a cylindrical collar finished with a hemmed lip. In earthenware with painted decoration on two thirds of the body, the neck and the foot. On the first, decoration of ocelli in horizontal frieze on the lip and the foot, distributed in vertical strips on the body. On the second one, a tapering and lining decoration of flowers in bud. Each vase inscribed in Arabic on the lower part of the body "De Verclos Qallal el-Qadim Nabeul" at the base of the bellies and under a foot, the second giving "De Verclos, Nabeul".
Height: 41,5 cm
Chips on the foot of the second and cracks of cooking under its base.
