Chinese white porcelain gu vase, Dehua, China, Kangxi period (1662-1722) Covered with an ivory glaze, its shape is inspired by archaic gu bronzes whose middle part is formed by a cylindrical bulb inserted between two rings in relief. Height : 22 cm Provenance: Spink & Son label. The gu - 觚 was originally a vase used for libations and intended to hold fermented drinks.
