Collection of ceramic shards, Iran, Syria and Egypt, 10th-14th century A bowl with calligraphic decoration in floriated kufic script, a stylized duck in the center, painted with slip on slip under transparent glaze, Eastern Iran, Nishapur, 10th century, d. 25.8 cm; thirty-four fragments of ewer, including the spout, with lajvardina decoration on a partly molded turquoise background of passing animals, Iran, 13th-14th century; two fragments of a vase neck with brown metallic lustre decoration and a sherd with underglaze painted decoration, Syria, Raqqa, late 12th - 13th century; two sherds with epigraphic decoration molded and painted with slip on slip under transparent glaze, Iran, Sultanabad or Egypt, 14th century.
