[MOUTON ROTHSCHILD] 2 simple corkscrews Mouton Rothschild with decoration of vines and grapes. One marked "BPh de R" on the handle. Corkscrews created by Philippe de Rothschild. Around 1930. H : 9 and 10,5 cm We join : - Barrel bung made of blown glass engraved with the Rothschild arms. H : 8,5 cm - 2 labels: Mouton Rothschild 1920, Pauillac; Baron Henri, 1999, Médoc. - 4 postcards a.s. to Jeanne Dubut "Château Mouton-Rothschild", "Château Pichon-Longueville", "Château Vigneau", "Château Ducru-Beaucaillou". 10 x 13,5 cm - Rare postcard of "L'Œuvre Philanthropique du Vin" founded by Baron Henri de Rothschild, 1908. - Capsule of the "Vins Hauser" of Achille Hauser, who took over the work of Baron Henri de Rothschild. Purchased at auction in 1853 by Baron Nathaniel de Rothschild, Château Brane Mouton became Château Mouton Rothschild and its vineyard was classified as a Second Growth in 1855. After the death of the Baron in 1870, the château did not develop much until 1922 when Baron Philippe de Rothschild, the great-grandson of Baron Nathaniel and the youngest son of Baron Henri de Rothschild, took over the estate. He became fully involved in the business, imposing bottling at the château and the creation of labels designed by artists.
