Danel, 1888. - Booklet in-8, jansenist black morocco, spine ribbed, gilt lace inside, gilt edges (C. Chapalain). Very rare first edition, printed in a small number. Copy on japanese paper, specially reserved for Baroness James de Rothschild, mother of Baron Henri. Missing a spine and the head cover, corners dulled. Attached, by the same author : - À travers les pays scandinaves. With a preface by M. Léo Claretie. Lille : imprimerie L. Danel, 1890. - In-8, dark blue half-maroquin with corners, spine decorated, speckled edges (binding of the time). First edition. Copy from the library of the British Museum, with the stamp of the institution accompanied by that of transfer. First cover unbound, hinge of the second cover split. - Memories of Spain. April 1889-March 1890. Macon : Protat frères, 1890. - In-16, paperback. Rare first edition. One of five copies on China paper, this one not numbered. Some scattered foxing. Provenance: Order of St. Jerome, with ex-libris stamp on the title. - Four copies of the book Tour du monde de Henri de Rothschild, including two original 1936 paperback editions, enriched with an autograph letter from the author, a bound edition bearing the mention of "twelfth edition", and a 1947 paperback edition of the translation of the work into Portuguese by Fernando Teixeira. Defects to the covers.
