DOUAI 1746 - 1749 Four-legged silver coffee pot of baluster form, the feet with scrolls extended by attachments of flowers with seven lanceolate petals forming a shell. The body embossed with ribs, alternates two ribs and flat parts in recall on the lid, flat parts on which come to apply the attachments of the feet. Engraved with a figure M in a frame of leaves topped by a flowery crown. The lid, molded with gadroons and double doucine, is embossed with a terrace of twisted leaves alternating with flowers on which is screwed a grip with the same pattern. The handle is screwed into the hood. On the reverse side is engraved in a semicircle a commemorative dedication: GEORGES AND HENRIETTE DORMEUIL, TO ANDRE AND MADELEINE DORMEUIL, 18 MARCH 1881 - 1906, two crossed ears of wheat in the center. Master goldsmith : Charles Louis GERARD, received in 1716 Hallmark of the master silversmith on the reverse, on the spout, on the cover and on each foot. Recontrolled in Lille in 1809 - 1819 Gross weight : 1213,9 g - height : 29,5 cm Condition: intended to be a chocolate pot, with restorations on the feet
