Pierre-Paul PRUD'HON (Cluny, 1758 - Paris, 1823) Header project for the Senate, French Constitution of the year VIII Black stone on paper. Signed lower right in pencil: "Prud'hon". On the reverse side of the old mount, inscription in pen and ink: "Prud'hon". 13,9 x 12 cm Provenance: Former collection of Jules Protat (1852-1906), printer and collector, Macon, in 1900. Exhibition: Exposition centennale de l'art français, Paris, 1900, cat. 1255 ("Belongs to M. Jules Protat"). Bibliography: - C.
