First edition of this text by the poet and painter André Verdet, illustrated with 13 lithographs by his friend Jean COCTEAU, one on the cover and 12 plates out of the text, one of which on a double page. The majority of the copies have only 12 lithographs.
It is the story of Orpheus and Apollo transposed to the XXth century on the coast of the Côte d'Azur and the hinterland, constituting a true tribute of love to the department of the Alpes maritimes.
Limited edition of only 200 copies on BFK de Rives. One of the 168 numbered copies in Arabic numerals, this one exceptionally enriched with a suite in colors of 10 of the 13 lithographs of the book.
It also includes two original drawings by André Verdet, one on the false title, representing flowers with this autograph dedication: "For // my dear // friends // Flaischaker // A. Verdet // 68", the other on the title, unsigned. There is also Jean Cocteau's autograph signature, dated 1963, on the blank sheet after the title.
Copy complete with the double cover, printed and illustrated.
